Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is gearing up for an extraordinary event that will bring together the worlds of science fiction and space exploration. On Friday, June 2, at 11 a.m., the Visitor Complex will host a panel discussion titled "Star Trek: Where Science Meets Imagination" in the Universe Theater.

The esteemed panelists for "Star Trek: Where Science Meets Imagination" include Jess Bush, a talented visual artist, and actress known for her work on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Morgan Gendel, an accomplished screenwriter who has contributed to the success of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, and A.C. Charania, NASA's Chief Technologist, who has expertise and insight from the forefront of real-world space exploration. The panelists will delve into the profound influence of science fiction on genuine space exploration projects and touch upon the impending launch of SpaceX CRS-28, scheduled for Saturday, which will transport groundbreaking solar array technology (known as iROSA), with various science experiments and supplies, to the International Space Station.

The enduring impact of franchises like Star Trek cannot be understated. Beyond captivating audiences worldwide, these sci-fi creations have influenced numerous scientists, engineers, and professionals at NASA, inspiring them to embark on careers in the space field. The panel at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will bring together visionaries who imagine the future with the dedicated individuals who actively build it. The objective is to explore the remarkable synergies between the realm of science fiction and the realm of scientific reality.

Entry to the panel is included with admission to the Visitor Complex. However, availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early. For those interested in witnessing the CRS-28 launch the following day, guests may purchase a two-day admission ticket for $45 per day, offering incredible value for an unforgettable experience.
