Packages now available for NASA’s first crewed Artemis mission

CAPE CANAVERAL, FL (January 23, 2026)
Beginning today, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is offering special launch viewing packages for NASA’s Artemis II mission. NASA has not yet announced an official launch date or time for Artemis II, which is currently slated for no earlier than February 6, 2026. Launch viewing packages will be valid for any date or time associated with Artemis II’s first launch attempt.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex provides some of the closest public launch viewing opportunities available, offering guests distinctive experiences that include live launch commentary from space experts, designated viewing locations, and mission-themed experiences throughout the visitor complex.

About Artemis II
Artemis II will be NASA’s first crewed mission of the Artemis program and the first time astronauts will fly aboard the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft, building on the success of the uncrewed Artemis I test flight in 2022. The mission will demonstrate critical deep space capabilities and help pave the way for humanity’s return to the Moon.

Important Information

• Launch viewing packages are mission-specific, not date-specific.

• Packages will be available for purchase following SLS rollout.

• Limited quantities sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Guests will receive arrival instructions via email prior to launch.

• Launch dates, timing, and viewing opportunities are subject to change due to technical, operational, or weather conditions.

Updated Scrub Policy

Launch viewing packages are mission-specific and non-transferable to other missions. Each package includes:

• Admission for two targeted launch attempts

• A return visit within 30 days after the launch attempt(s) to explore visitor complex attractions and exhibits (blackout dates apply)

• Food, beverages, and souvenirs (if applicable to the purchased package)

Refund Policy:
Refunds may only be requested for unused ticket packages that have not been scanned at the visitor complex entrance during a launch attempt.

If a scrub or delay is announced prior to opening:

• Packages remain valid for the new launch date/time, or

• Refunds may be requested for unused packages

If a scrub or delay is announced after opening:

• If announced 3+ hours prior to launch, food, beverages, and souvenirs remain valid for the next attempt

• If announced less than 3 hours prior, food, beverages, and souvenirs are provided only for that launch date/time
