Join us on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the Joy & Gordon Patterson Botanical Garden, located on the Florida Tech campus in Melbourne, FL.
Florida Tech's Garden came to be through the intense interest of Founding President Emeritus Jerome P. Keuper, along with the inspiration and help of Mr. Dent Smith, founder of the Palm Society - a worldwide organization primarily engaged in the study of the palm family, in the 1960s. Their efforts have made the Florida Tech botanical garden the only one of its kind in the continental United States.
We will be onsite at the Florida Tech campus discussing the 15-acre Botanical Garden that features a stream bordered by a shady hammock abounding in palm trees and other tropical growth that winds through the heart of the campus.
