Admission and parking are free. “Splash of Watercolor” will feature the largest exhibit and sale of watercolor paintings in Brevard County. Nearly 100 local artists, many who have state and nationally-acclaimed works, will be represented at the show. Original, framed artwork will be available for sale in the main hall. In the artists’ Marketplace, prints, cards, and unframed originals will also be available for sale. Ongoing activities include raffle baskets, silent auction, live music, and heart-healthy refreshments served in the bistro. A special section of the show will feature paintings created by many of the students taking on-going classes taught by a number of BWS members.
Several demonstration events are scheduled during the “Splash of Watercolor” weekend show. All are entertaining and educational (and sometimes hilarious). The Brevard Watercolor Society was established in 1995 and has nearly 200 members. BWS partners with Brevard County organizations and is an active member of the Brevard Cultural Alliance. BWS is dedicated to the beauty of watercolor painting and enriching the quality of life in our community through workshops, education, and exhibitions.
