Ron Teixeira and the 2020 Scholarship Winners

Event Description

Pianist Ron Teixeira will perform with his band and the Space Coast Jazz Society will announce the winners of two $1,000 jazz scholarships, who will also perform. These scholarships are designed to encourage Brevard high school seniors to continue their studies of jazz in college. Teixeira is a graduate of the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduating, he played for more than 20 years at jazz venues and as a studio musician in New York City. He returned to his hometown of Cocoa Beach and has been the house pianist at the nationally award winning Heidi’s Jazz Club in Cocoa Beach, FL for the past 17 years. He is also a member of the DanRonic Project which performed on the SCJS stage in October 2018 and he teaches jazz.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – GENERAL ADMISSION.

Pre-pay below or pay at the door:
– $10 for members of the Jazz Society and Rockledge Country Club,
– $15 for guests,

– Students (ages 25 & under) are free.

Food and beverages are available for an additional cost.
