Margaret Cross: Stars, Stripes & Songs - An American Celebration

Join Playhouse favorite Margaret Cross (On The TownFinian’s Rainbow), her parents Don (White ChristmasTitanic) and Leeann (White ChristmasOn The Town), special guests, and live musicians for an afternoon of music and memories celebrating the history of America and it’s ever-evolving songbook that has helped to shape the identity of this Great Country!

A 50/50 raffle will be held, with the proceeds benefiting the veteran’s group Space Coast Honor Flight.

SCHF’s mission is to take WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veterans to visit the memorial in Washington D.C., showing gratitude to the heroes who made it possible to enjoy the freedoms we have today. SCHF pairs each veteran with a Guardian Escort for the journey, ensuring their safety and dignity. Miss Cross has been honored to serve as a Guardian, and is proud to be raising funds and awareness for SCHF!

MARGARET CROSS is in her eighth season creating shows at the Cocoa Village Playhouse. Born in Ohio, raised in Florida, she spent 7 years performing in New York City. Locally, she was a Spotlight Artist in the 2014 Orlando Cabaret Festival, was Mary/Grace, Animal Crackers (Mad Cow Theatre, Orlando), Eliza, My Fair Lady (Henegar Center), Hildy, On The Town, Sharon, Finian’s Rainbow, Kate Magowan, Titanic (CVP), Agatha, Guys & Dolls with Orlando Philharmonic (w/ Davis Gaines, Bob Carr Auditorium). In NYC, she sang with jazz bands Mona’s Hot Four, Big Swinging Dixies, and her own trio, co-conceived and directed A Flanders & Swann House Party at Snapple Center Times Square and the York Theatre. Favorite past roles: The Postman, The Most Happy Fella (Gallery Players, Bklyn), Sarah Bradford, The Life Of Harriet Tubman (SAIL Nat’l Tour).
