The Brevard Museum Inc., also known as the Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science, is conveniently located in Cocoa, Florida, bordering the Eastern Florida State College and the city’s original water supply, Clearlake. A not-for-profit corporation since 1969, the Brevard Museum sits on a 22 acre parcel of land that includes a 19.5 acre nature preserve encompassing three Florida ecosystems.

Feb 23 – Game Day – Held at the Veterans Memorial Center
Bring your favorite cards, games, and friends to the annual Game Day! Sponsored by the Guild of the Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science. Enjoy a home-cooked buffet, raffles, and door prizes on Friday, February 23rd from 10 am – 2 pm. Your $15 donation supports the Brevard Museum. This event is held at the Veterans Memorial Center, 400 S. Sykes Creek, Merritt Island. For tickets contact Ann Galetta at 321-735-8603 or Beth Timmons at 321-636-9265.
All temporary exhibits are included with general museum admission.
Current – Feb 3 – Surfin’ FLA: A Celebration of Surfing in Cocoa Beach and the Sunshine State
Surfin’ FLA is a glimpse into the story of surfing in Florida. It is a collective narrative of passion and fascination with both a sport and a way of life. For over 100 years, surfing has played a definitive role in shaping the state and the Space Coast.

Created as part of Viva Florida, a celebration of over 500 years of Florida history, this exhibit from the Museum of Florida History examines the people and events that shaped the state we all know today.

Feb 23 – March 31 – Time to Shine: Mismatched Items from our Collection
Some of our collections items are anxious for their time to shine. See our favorite random assortment of historical objects, artifacts, and specimens.
April 7 – April 28 – Paintings of Nostalgic Florida: the Original Highwaymen Artists
View stunning scenes of Florida landscapes and learn about the state’s unique Highwaymen Artists. Featuring works and demonstrations from R.L. Lewis and others.
May 11 – September 29- The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse
Celebrate 150 years of Cape Canaveral Lighthouse History with this special exhibit from the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation.
