Event Description

The Brevard Museum Inc., also known as the Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science, is conveniently located in Cocoa, Florida, bordering the Eastern Florida State College and the city’s original water supply, Clearlake. A not-for-profit corporation since 1969, the Brevard Museum sits on a 22 acre parcel of land that includes a 19.5 acre nature preserve encompassing three Florida ecosystems.

Temporary Exhibits

All temporary exhibits are included with general museum admission.  

May 11 – September 29The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse

Celebrate 150 years of Cape Canaveral Lighthouse History with this special exhibit from the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation.

June 1 - September 1 Greetings from Florida

Floridiana, memorabilia, and tourism in the Sunshine State.

July 21st - Lecture: The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse

Join us for a special presentation on the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse. Docent Barbara Moser will cover over 150 years of Cape Canaveral Lighthouse history. Coupled with the anniversary exhibit, this presentation is included with regular museum admission.

July 28th - Saturday Tour

Life's better with a tour guide by your side! Let one of our trained and talented museum docents lead you through Florida's history from the Ice Age to the Space Age. Hop on one of our 2 pm museum tours. Museum tours are included with general admission. RSVP's are not required but are always appreciated.

September 21 - Guild Game Day!

It's time for the Friends of the Brevard Museum Guild's Game Day! Registration information coming soon.

September 22 - Museum Day Live

Enjoy free admission to the Brevard Museum through Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day Live! Docents will be on-hand that day to answer all your museum questions.

October 20 - 3rd Annual Florida Frontiers Festival

Enjoy live music, food, vendors, and admission to the Brevard Museum at the Florida Historical Society's 3rd annual Florida Frontiers Festival.

November 8 - Space Heart Book Reading

Join us for a special reading of Space Heart with author Linda Buckmaster. More information coming soon.

December 6 - Guild Christmas Luncheon

Celebrate the holiday season with the Friends of the Brevard Museum Guild's Annual Christmas Luncheon. Registration information coming soon.
