Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel with a 57-year history of breaking boundaries, unveiled its latest venture marking a significant milestone in the cruising industry. The Norwegian Aqua, the maiden ship of the expanded Prima Plus Class, is set to redefine cruising standards with its first voyage setting sail in April 2025, offering seven-day itineraries from Port Canaveral, FL, one of the world’s most sought-after cruise ports.

Continuing the legacy of excellence, Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri is at the helm of constructing this pioneering Prima Plus Class vessel. Building on the successes of the Norwegian Prima and the Norwegian Viva, the Norwegian Aqua promises to set new benchmarks by offering a 10% increase in size and capacity compared to its sister ships. With dimensions stretching 1,056 feet in length, 156,300 gross tons, and accommodations for 3,571 guests at double occupancy, Norwegian Aqua pledges an abundance of outdoor space and the highest staffing levels among contemporary cruise ships.

"Norwegian Aqua signifies the future of our Brand and our dedication to pioneering guest-first experiences. It is our commitment to innovation and redefining the cruising experience," said David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Featuring a vibrant hull art design created by Allison Hueman, Norwegian Aqua represents a marriage between art and exploration. Hueman’s art, titled "Where the Sky Meets the Sea," encapsulates the essence of modern mythology, weaving abstract and figurative elements of sea and sky.

The ship introduces groundbreaking attractions, including the Aqua Slidecoaster, the world's first hybrid rollercoaster waterslide. Moreover, the Glow Court, a digital sports complex transforming into a lively nightclub, will enthrall guests. The ship also retains favorite Prima-class experiences like The Drop and the expanded Stadium, a space offering complimentary activities. Families will relish the return of NCL's Splash Academy and Entourage, tailored for adolescents. Guests can unwind by the infinity pool or indulge in the expanded Vibe Beach Club for an exclusive adult experience. The ship's outdoor walkway, Ocean Boulevard, provides panoramic views and unique features like Oceanwalk and Infinity Beach.

Norwegian Aqua raises the bar with its Haven complex, which houses 123 suites offering a dedicated sundeck, infinity pool, outdoor spa, private lounge, 24-hour butler service, and NCL's first-ever Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites. These opulent suites feature expansive living spaces, separate dining areas, three bathrooms, and breathtaking ocean views. The ship also offers a variety of spacious accommodations for solo travelers at reduced fares.

Starting today, travel enthusiasts can secure bookings for Norwegian Aqua’s inaugural Caribbean voyages traversing through the enticing destinations of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and NCL's private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.

Following Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral, Norwegian Aqua will travel to Bermuda from New York City and offer Eastern Caribbean itineraries from Miami, with more exciting features coming in the upcoming year.
