Beginning on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will offer special viewing packages for the upcoming Artemis I launch, which launches no earlier than August 29 with a launch window of 8:33 – 10:33 a.m.

According to a release, guests can witness history unfold as they feel the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket lift off for its first uncrewed test flight from Launchpad 39B. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers some of the closest public launch viewing opportunities with distinctive experiences such as live commentary from space experts and access to select exhibits and attractions. The first integrated test of NASA’s deep space exploration systems, Artemis I, provides a foundation for human deep space exploration and demonstrates NASA’s commitment to extending human life to the Moon and beyond.

Spectators, while waiting on the launch, can also take the time to experience Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, the newest attraction at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and get an up-close look at the SLS rocket scale model and the flight-flown Orion Exploration Flight Test-1 capsule, which will play a vital role in the Artemis mission.

The Visitor Complex offers ticket packages for specific missions and are not valid for specific dates. Guests can book packages online, and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
